Forum Rules - PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING YOUR FIRST POST!

Welcome to the SSF2 Designers' League Community - SSF2 DLC for short. Get it?
Itsame runs the forum, and it's semi-affiliated with McLeodGaming.com. Is it? Well - anyway, Cleod makes Flash animations and games on his site - one of them being SSF2, which we choose to create and develop characters for downloadable use here.
We're pretty leniant when it comes to moderation - but you've gotta stick to a few dozen rules. Don't break these and you'll be OK.
Yeah, some of these are common sense, but some people seem to lack that for some reason.
1) We've got a few wordfilters - and they're cool. That said, don't get too carried away with your language - try to tone it down. No one's impressed by how many vulgarities you can fit into a single sentence. Save it for Facepunch.
2) You don't run the forum - we do. Remember that. Try to be nice to your fellow posters - treat them like you'd want to be treated. If you walk all over everyone, expect to be trampled on by the rest of the community.
I'd suggest not invoking any fights or flamewars, or threats of any sort - save that for daytime TV.
3) Don't go stealing others' ideas. Then again - we're making Smash Bros. characters so no doubt you'll see similarities between characters - but hey, try not to make an obvious ripoff of someone else's character.
4) Don't get too off-topic in a forum - most of us consider that spamming. If we need to, our mods will be the judge - we'll tell you when you've gotten too far off topic and direct the topic back on track. Or lock it. On that note, requesting locks will be considered as spam as well.
We've got a forum for spamming - if you need to do it, please do it there.
5) Don't be a douche - don't post any malicious hidden links or anything like that.
6) Don't post porn, don't post shock images, don't post seizure-inducing rapid-transition images - no one wants to see that here.
There are posters that have moms constantly watching over their shoulder. If yours isn't, good for you but respect those that don't have such a luxury.
7) DON'T BE A RETARD. DON'T INTENTIONALLY TYPE IN ALL CAPS. IT LOOKS LIKE SHOUTING, AND MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT.
8) Impersonating people makes you look like a coward. Don't do it.
9) Don't post other members' personal information (name, address. etc)
If you want to post yours, go right ahead but it's not our fault if you have creepy fat girls knocking at your door.
10) Don't talk about pirating software, filesharing or bootlegging. There are sites for that, and this isn't one of them.
11) Don't bump month-old topics. It makes you look dumb.
Of course there are stickies and special admin topics - it's OK to post in those.
12) Don't intentionally triple-post.
13) Don't post spoilers without using the [SPOILER] tag.
14) Don't sign up just to advertise your site. No one cares, but if you MUST, do it in Spam. That goes for PMs, too - once we hear about it, we'll address it as soon as possible.
15). Don't try to bypass bans or anything with alts. You'll look stupid and get banned in the process. Don't be a hero.
16) We're not responsible for the links that others post.
17) Don't beg the staff to become a mod. You'll never get it that way lol.
18) If you don't like a topic, don't post in it. It's that simple.
19) DO NOT POST IN A BOT TOPIC. (Meaning suspicious looking topics made by forum bots that probably contain graphic material or malicious hyperlinks) That only attracts bots, and makes you the forum idiot.
20) Don't put giant pictures in your sig or avatar, because you'll just have angry mods breathing down your neck and changing your av/sig in complaint to your antics. If you keep them up, we can take those privileges away from you.
21) Don't incite raids. Here or on another site [proposing to invade here]. Just don't do it.
22) Don't advertise to other members through PMs.
23) Don't embed flash in your sig or anywhere else that does anything without user consent (play music, open window, etc)
24) And don't pyramid-quote posts with Flash content in them. It sucks up the user's bandwidth and ends up with one very pissed-off domain.
Other than that, just have fun and try to keep it worksafe! Happy posting! <:
